About Us

The Best VPN Providers is run by the thebestvpnproviders team. We publish plain-English guides and comparisons that help UK readers pick and set up a VPN.

How we choose and rate VPNs

Our picks and ratings are editorial opinions. We base them on each provider’s published information (features, server locations, number of simultaneous connections, pricing and refund terms), its privacy policy and any independent audits it has published, plus subjective criteria such as ease of use and support options. Our ratings are not lab test scores. When we quote a provider’s own figures, such as server counts or audit results, we say so.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Commission doesn’t decide our editorial content. Read our full affiliate and advertising disclosure.

Corrections and updates

VPN providers change their prices, apps and features often. If you spot something out of date or wrong, please contact us and we’ll review it.
